Direct Fired Duct Heater

U.S. Patents: 7,360,534 & 9,459,022

About Direct Fired Duct Heater

The unique features of the Heat Injector allows it to be applied as a Direct Gas-Fired Duct Heater for many different applications.  The clean buring characteristics of the burner with dedicated combustion blower injects heat without adding a load on the air moving device.  The applications where we have been able to apply the Heat Injector as a Direct Gas-fired Duct Heater

Applied the Heat Injector to the airflow for a green-house operation in Dallas, Tx to allow the airflow to be heated and dehumidified at the same time.

Applied heat to the recirculated airflow in a 20 year old paint curing chamber for Prime Coat that had been heated with wall mounted Infrared heat...they liked it so well they later modified their Top Coat. They used to struggle to get heat them to 12o°, now they can heat to 145 to more thoroughly cure.

The Heat Injector was mounted on top of the recirculated airflow for the Paint Drying Chambers and Plaster Mold Drying Chambers where the vapor and moisture laden air is exhausted. The Heat Injectors are sized to achieve the desired discharge temperatures.

The application of the Heat Injector with its unique features are further define in the US Patents; 7,360,534 and 9,459,022.

The energy efficient method

The Patented Heat Injector System is the most energy efficient method to heat air. It uses a direct gas-fired burner with a dedicated combustion blower which allows the airflow to be adjustable and to reduce the load on the main airflow blower.

Heat Injector vs Traditional direct gas-fired

When there is an airflow being created by a process where there is exhausted airflow, the Gas-fired duct heater can be used to inject sufficient heat to achieve the desired discharge temperature.

Design Configurations Available

The Heat Injector can be positioned in virtually any position around a duct. The module can handle the elements and can be installed on a duct to inject heat from the top down, bottom up, and side to center.

Recent Heat Injector Projects

We recently designed 2(1,000MBH) Heat Injector duct heaters for 2 steel drying chambers for plaster molds.(We designed the sheet metal structure too.)  For the same customer we also designed and built a 400MBH Heat Injectors duct heater for a paint drying chamber(Designed this sheet metal enclosure too.) The steel structures were able to fully erected using our assembly instruction. After the booths were build the Heat Injectors were able to be set in place and wired up.  With the Heat Injector being pre-tested and our facility, startup is always a breeze.

We also supplied another configuration of a 400MBH Heat Injector for a greenhouse that had a unique situation where the customer need to apply heat after a cooling coil in a unconventional way to an air handling system. We had to design a “bolt together” vestibule inside the air handler that forced air through the injector chamber of the Heat Injector, This concept moved that heated airflow straight into the main airflow blower to the greenhouse. The tomatoes have increased yields due to the warmer temperatures and carbon dioxide produced by recirculated the low PPM count of the Heat Injector.  This Heat Injector was designed with a 10ft plug in whip for the  main control panel to be mounted near the ground for easy personnel access.

The unique features of the Heat Injector allows it to be applied as a Direct Gas-Fired Duct Heater for many different applications.  The clean buring characteristics of the burner with dedicated combustion blower injects heat without adding a load on the air moving device.
